Expanding the Typhoon Texas Experience
Typhoon Texas set out to grow beyond its localized, Texas-themed identity and position itself as a destination for larger metropolitan audiences. In addition to expanding awareness in Houston beyond its suburban footprint, they also aimed to increase visibility for their Pflugerville location across the greater Austin area. The goal was to broaden appeal, attract new visitors, and showcase the full range of experiences each park has to offer.
Our approach focused on evolving the brand’s visual language to better reflect the energy and variety of the parks. We expanded the color palette by pulling inspiration directly from the vibrant hues of the water slides, creating a more dynamic and cohesive system. To support this, we conducted both on-site photography and slide-focused shoots to capture high-resolution, engaging visuals that highlighted attractions, amenities, and the overall guest experience.
These updated assets were applied across a wide range of touchpoints, including billboards, park signage and maps, coupon books, and social media advertising. The result was a more modern, inviting campaign that resonated with a broader audience in both Houston and Austin.
The impact was immediate and measurable. Typhoon Texas saw its highest number of season pass purchases to date, along with increased revenue from food, snacks, and cabana packages, reinforcing its position as a go-to destination in both markets.
